Hard Wood BBQ Chicken and Bacon Pizza
Oven: 400 Cook Time: 16-18 Minutes Prep Time: 15 Minutes
1 Can Pizza Dough
8 Slices Bacon--Cut into small pieces
1 Large Chicken Breast--Cut into chunks
¼ tsp Black Pepper
1/8 Cup Hard Wood BBQ Sauce (For toppings)
¼ Cup Hard Wood BBQ Sauce (For Crust)
¼ Red Onion—Thinly Sliced
Mix Cheeses together
1 ½ Cup Mozzarella Cheese
½ Cup Medium Cheddar Cheese
On greased cookie sheet or pizza pan, press out pizza dough, and cook for 8 minutes. Set aside.
In skillet fry bacon pieces over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon from the skillet and drain on a plate lined with a paper towel. In bacon grease cook chicken, seasoning with pepper. Remove from heat when chicken is thoroughly cooked and place in mixing bowl. Add bacon to chicken, then add 1/8 cup Hard Wood BBQ Sauce. Stir until well coated.
Spread ¼ Cup Hard Wood BBQ Sauce over pizza dough, using basting brush to coat evenly. Sprinkle 1 ½ Cups cheese mixture over crust. Distribute the chicken and bacon mixture evenly on top of cheese, and add the onions on top. Sprinkle remaining cheese on toppings.
Cook in oven for 8-10 minutes or until crust is golden.
For quicker preparation, use 2 cups precooked chicken, and ½ cup natural bacon bits.
